Sharp
changes on its own
How it launches. A narrow point, so it stays put and holds its spin while it waits to be attacked.
The state it starts in.
Flat
changes on its own
Being hit switches the base from its sharp point to a flat one, and the top starts moving aggressively instead of holding station. The flaps that take the hit also shift so they line up better with the attack ring above, putting more of the weight behind the ring's own contact points.
Switches on being hit. Nothing to set.
