Every price you see on LetItRip already includes any GST that applies to it. This page explains which rate applies to what, who bears each charge, and what your invoice will show.
The price on the card is the price you pay
Listing prices are tax-inclusive. There is no GST added at the last step of checkout — the only amounts added after the item price are the ones you choose or that depend on delivery: shipping, an optional add-on, or a COD handling fee. Each of those is shown as its own line before you pay.
The rate is a property of what the item IS, under its HSN code — not of the seller and not of where you live. Collectibles on LetItRip fall in three bands.
| Band | GST | Typical items | HSN |
|---|---|---|---|
| Exempt / nil-rated | 0% | Live plants and animals, and anything the schedule treats as nil-rated | — |
| Toys and spinning tops | 5% | Beyblades, launchers, stadiums, parts, model kits, diecast | 9503 0020 |
| Electronic and video-game items | 18% | Game cards and consoles, electronic toys | 9503 0010 |
| Charge | Borne by | Note |
|---|---|---|
| GST on the item | Included in the price | The seller accounts for it out of the listed price. It is not added on top at checkout. |
| GST on our platform fee | Platform | Charged on the fee itself, not on the item. It appears as part of the tax total on your invoice. |
| Shipping | Buyer | Shown as its own line before payment, never folded into the item price. |
| COD handling | Buyer | Only on cash-on-delivery orders, and only where COD is offered. |
Which split appears depends on where the order ships. A delivery inside the seller's own state is CGST plus SGST at half the rate each; a delivery to another state is IGST at the full rate. The total tax is the same either way — only the breakdown on the invoice differs, which is why your invoice shows the components rather than one blended figure.
A tax invoice lists each line with its HSN code and its GST rate, then the taxable value, the tax components and the grand total. Where an order predates GST being charged, the HSN and rate columns are omitted entirely rather than printed empty — an empty column reads as missing data, and the invoice would not be telling you the truth about that order.
You list a tax-inclusive price and keep the item's GST to account for yourself. Our commission and the GST on it are deducted at payout, never charged twice, and your payout statement shows the item total, the fee, the GST on the fee and the net — so the arithmetic is checkable rather than asserted.
