Our Ethics page describes what LetItRip owes you. This page describes what we ask of each other. It applies to everyone using the platform — buyers, sellers, bidders, and staff — and it is a condition of holding an account. Where this page and the Terms of Service overlap, the Terms govern as the legal agreement; this page explains the behaviour we expect in plainer language.
Photograph the actual item you are selling, from angles that show its real condition. Describe condition accurately using the standard grades, and disclose every flaw a buyer would want to know about — creases, whitening, edge wear, repairs, restoration, trimming, missing accessories, reproduction parts, or a broken seal. Do not use a stock image or a better example of the same item in place of yours. Do not stuff titles with unrelated keywords to catch searches your item does not match. If you are unsure whether something counts as a flaw, disclose it; nobody has ever been penalised for over-disclosing.
If you sell a live animal or plant, you take on obligations that do not apply to a boxed collectible. List only after your account has passed vendor verification. Declare the species, approximate age, sex where determinable, and the genuine care the animal needs — including the parts a buyer might not want to hear. Sell only into states and territories where that species may lawfully be kept and transferred, and provide any CITES or Wildlife Protection Act documentation the species requires. Arrange in-person handover or a specialist live-animal courier; never send a living thing through ordinary parcel post. Answer a prospective buyer's care questions honestly even when the honest answer costs you the sale. If you are not able to meet all of this, do not create the listing.
A bid is a commitment to buy at that price. Do not bid on your own listing, and do not arrange for anyone else to bid on it, whether to raise the price or to create the appearance of interest. Do not place bids you intend to retract, and do not coordinate with other bidders or with the seller to manipulate the outcome. If you win, pay. Habitual retraction or non-payment costs you bidding privileges, and a pattern of it costs you the account.
Buyers using cash, manual UPI, or EMI have a fifteen-minute window to upload a genuine payment proof and reference number. Upload the real transaction, not an edited screenshot or an unrelated one — a fabricated proof is treated as fraud, not as an error. Sellers must ship within the handling time stated on their store, provide real tracking that actually resolves, and pack well enough that the item arrives in the condition described. If something goes wrong on your side, say so early; a delay explained is a small problem and a delay concealed is a dispute.
Review only transactions you actually completed. Do not pay for reviews, offer discounts or free items in exchange for them, or ask a buyer to change a rating as a condition of resolving a problem. Do not leave a retaliatory review in response to one you disagree with. Sellers may publicly respond to any review and should — a calm, factual response is far more persuasive to future buyers than a removed review would have been.
Disagreements about grading, shipping, and pricing are normal in this hobby. Harassment, threats, slurs, and abuse directed at another user or at staff are not, and they are grounds for suspension regardless of who was right about the item. Do not solicit payment outside the platform: it strips both parties of dispute resolution and refund protection, and it is one of the most common shapes a scam takes here. Do not share another user's personal information.
If you encounter a fraudulent listing, a counterfeit, or a user acting in bad faith, use the report flow or submit to the scam registry. Report truthfully and include what you can evidence. The registry is a serious tool with real consequences for the person named, so a knowingly false or vindictive submission is itself a violation and is handled as one. Do not attempt to punish another user directly through mass reporting, review bombing, or public pile-ons.
The following end an account: counterfeit, replica, or unauthorised reprint items presented as genuine; goods infringing third-party intellectual property; weapons, controlled substances, and anything otherwise unlawful under Indian law; protected wildlife that cannot lawfully be traded; stolen goods; buying, selling, or sharing accounts; and automated scraping or any attempt to circumvent our payment, authentication, or moderation systems.
Responses escalate with severity and repetition: a warning and a request to correct, then a temporary suspension, then permanent removal with any linked stores and listings taken down alongside the account. A rejected payment proof carries a seven-day suspension rather than permanent removal. If you believe an action against your account was wrong, write to support@letitrip.in with your account details and what you think was misjudged. Appeals are reviewed by someone other than the person who took the original action, and you will get a reasoned answer rather than a form reply.
